Great, fun, old school hotel. Comfortable bunk beds, slept well.
Areas for improvement:

I had a very good stay in an old school Manhattan hotel. The staff were excellent and very helpful. The room was clean and cozy.
Areas for improvement:

We have always liked The Jane. Clean, comfortable, even with shared bathrooms. This will be our last visit, though. We had noticed the gentrification of the neighborhood and now it's hitting The Jane ...

the room was very toasty warm on a cold December three-night period
Areas for improvement:
the hotel said it was under renovation, and it was--but I guess I had forgotten; but it really does not intrude
